Does the software contain Spyware, Malware, or other spy operation?

No! GAFMEDIA STUDIO has put a lot of energy to fight against these bad practices to offer a software free of spyware and other malware! Just make sure you downloaded the software from our servers to be sure it hasn't be modified in any way.

Does LinkLite! communicate any (personal) information to GAFMEDIA STUDIO ?

No, this software, does not communicate any information what so ever, neither to GAFMEDIA STUDIO, or any other third party websites. That is, in part, the idea behind this software. Most of the other statistic engines store your data online and therefore it might be available to others ... with LinkLite! all your data is stored in your computer, this means you're the only one that can access it.
But if you wan't to 'share' your stats with others you can, all you have to do is give them your User Name, Password and the website address (URL) being monitored.

How do i uninstall LinkLite! from my computer ?

1) Under Windows :
Start / Settings / Control Panel / Add-Remove Programs, then remove LinkLite!

2) Under Mac OSX :
a) Delete the LinkLite folder located in your : Applications > GAFMEDIA directory.
b) and delete the linklite folder located in your : Home > Documents directory.

How can i RESET my LinkLite! configuration ?

Stop LinkLite if it's runnig, then go find your linklite folder in your Documents directory, and delete the prefs.xml file.
Then restart LinkLite and you will see the (re)install procedure.

I followed the installation procedure, but it doesn't work !

1) Make sure you have all these files in your linklite_tracker directory :
data.php
recorder.php
script.php
tracker.js
your_stats_path/index.php
_class/ArrayToXml.class.php
_class/XmlToObject.class.php

2) Change the permissions to read / write / execution for the following directories linklite_tracker, _class and your Statistics on your http server:
For linklite_tracker => 755
For _class => 755
For your_stats_path => 777

3) Make sure you uploaded the linklite_tracker folder at the root of your website.

4) Check that your linklite_tracker directory is at the same level than your ".html" file with the code here-under.
(eg: index.html and linklite_tracker folder side by side)

5) Make sure that you added the line of code in your html page :
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="linklite_tracker/tracker.js"></script>

Only for version 1.0.0 users : I followed the installation procedure, but it still doesn't work !

1) Check the PHP version of your http server.
Create a ".php" page, with the following line of code:
<?PHP phpinfo(); ?>
2) Then upload it on your http server and run this page from your web browser.
The version number is the first digit.
3) If the version is 4, download this file and replace the included files in your linklite_tracker folder :
recorder.php
_class/ArrayToXml.class.php
_class/XmlToObject.class.php
On your http server by the new files of this archive.

Or uninstall completely LinkLite! (follow the question 3 above to do that), get the new version and repeat the installation procedure as version 1.0.1 and above now include a PHP version "chooser".
Note : For PHP 4, DomXML extension must be installed on your server.
